Context:

Our mission at THRIVE is to make the art world less lonely. THRIVE started almost by accident in July 2015 when 6 artist girlfriends gathered together one summer evening. Little did they know it was the start of a movement now with over 200 members (and constantly growing) worldwide!

The world has a long way to go as far as equality goes and as part of the world this means the art world has a lot of room for improvement too so all our memberships and programs support female visual artists. THRIVE use an inclusive definition of the terms “women” and “female”. Our program welcomes trans and cis women, as well as those who are genderqueer, femme-identifying and non-binary.  

We support artists and create change through-

We have been a tiny team of two and are now looking to add a Sales Associate to the mix. With our growing community we want someone who can provide our membership with excellent support and service! You’ll be able to flex your sales, customer service, community and social media skills!

We are a small team, we work at a fast pace and it’s never boring here! We are a pair of A types who  get excited by checking things off our to do lists and setting and kicking goals. We believe in failing fast and celebrating our wins. Our motto is “Do The Work.”

It is our calling to create and run THRIVE. Art, equality and community are things we care deeply about. We are looking for someone who really cares too and hope it is you!

Accountabilities:

Sales Queen or King

Our members are the most important people in our world and your job is to support them through every step of their journey with us at THRIVE.


You’ll guide them through their time with THRIVE, from the interviewing and sales call process for prospective members, to their enrolment process as they become the thriving artists they are truly meant to be.

Our current sales process is based around each Mastermind Program intake. Currently intakes are March, May and September.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead Generation

  • Prospecting

  • Market Research

  • Partnership

  • Marketing (inbound and outbound)

  • Coordinate marketing efforts and plan with other team members.

  • Interviewing Applicants

  • Enrolling successful applicants in orientation

  • Networking

  • Creating sales process for the THRIVE Network

  • Resign up increasing by September Intake.

We are looking for a new team member that will make the sales cycle and processes their own. We have benchmarks of success to be met but are seeking someone who is willing to set goals and is self-motivated to grow THRIVE and change the art world with us!

All Hands on Deck Team Player:

We are a small team so everyone pitches in to get things done!

From time to time you’ll need to:

  • Provide event help including set-up, take-down, communication with vendors and participants

  • Mail out help including printing and preparing materials for send-out

  • Support leadership training by keeping our online leadership course up to date.

  • Other special events, projects and tasks, as required

Education and Experience:*

  • 1 year of related experience in sales

  • Relevant experience with administrative tasks and customer service

  • Relevant experience developing and updating web content

  • Relevant experience supporting content development in Instagram, Facebook and other social media

  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the art industry

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity and aptitude with Hubspot or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus

  • Skilled in developing relationships with new and returning members and leaders

  • Ability to effectively promote and recommend leading practices in sales and membership development.

THRIVE started in Vancouver, BC, Canada but working remotely is certainly a possibility with the right candidate so location is not a limitation! Salary will be paid in Canadian dollars.
